The SwapDrop™ product is a way for members of International Derivatives Clearinghouse to execute a transaction off-exchange for clearing through International Derivatives Clearinghouse.
IDCH uses the Exchange of Futures for Swaps (EFS) function to convert OTC ITS contracts into economically equivalent IRS futures contracts. This enables IDCG to clear IRS futures contracts, giving customers the benefits of central clearing while maintaining the principles of the over-the-counter interest rate swap market.
